ADVERTISING INFO

DFL candidates, I’ll be giving you a call to see if you’d like to advertise on my blog.

Here’s what I’m offering:

Rotating Ad space, shows before all posts, 510 X 169  $5 a month (yep, small blog) (Update added 12/04/09: Please note the ad rotates on page view)

Static Ad space, right or left sidebar, 175 x 250, $10 a month.

I’d like you to create your own ad, but we can talk about that if you’d like.  I have suggestions as to who we can use to produce great graphic art.

Please note that if I decide it’s time to back any one candidate, I’ll let you know so we can decide whether to pull your ads (if it isn’t you I back… but I love you all). n addition, after the DFL endorsement process is complete, I’ll only allow the endorsed candidate’s advertisements.(update, clarified DFL part on 12/04/09)

I reserve the right to refuse any one person or organization which I feel doesn’t fit with my blog atmosphere.

NEW: 12/4/2009: Candidates, before the endorsement process, I will try to support you whether or not you advertise here.  After the endorsement process I will be backing the endorsed candidate.

Let’s be clear:  If you advertise here, you are paying for ad space, and (if you chose a static ad instead of a rotating ad), a link to your site.   And nothing more than that.  Paid advertising will have no connection to editorial, or post,  content.

However, in addition to you advertising on my site and even if you don’t, I’d like back and forth from you.  What are you trying to do?  How can I help you?  What is the message you’d like to get out? If I do any major pieces on you, where you are the primary feature, I’ll be calling you to have a look at my work.  I’d like your opinion about my wording, etc.

A special note to bloggers:  Here’s what I have found out in this ongoing process:

1.  Besides just advertising on our blogs, many candidates seem receptive to the idea of letting us know what their campaigns are doing and even the idea of us helping to set the frame.

2. Many candidates like the idea of a back and forth relationship with bloggers.

3.  I will offer a constant rate to all interested persons or campaigns who want to advertise on my site.
