Happy MN DFL convention week! Soon we’ll have an endorsed candidate, which is our party’s best foot forward.
All DFL candidates place value on job creation, responsible budgeting, fiscal responsibility, and education. And I believe all candidates seem similar on topics which might concern the “single issue voter,” too. All that I reached were for [...]
I received this from a Hackett for Congress supporter today and I took note of the DFL Veteran’s Caucus involvement:
Join General Harry Sieben and the DFL Veterans Caucus in an afternoon of support for

In Minnesota, DFL audiences elect delegates who then go on to endorse candidates. You can be a delegate by either convincing a small group to support you and your candidate (called a walking subcaucus), or by winning the majority vote.
My DFL Senate District convention goers decided to do a majority vote. For me, the handwriting [...]
MAK or Rybak, endorsed?
We don’t know for sure who will be endorsed. It’s all in the Official Call. No matter who delegates voted for in the straw poll, DFL delegates are not bound to anyone (unless it’s a Presidential delegate heading to the national convention). In short, and especially since there were so many “uncommitted” [...]
Taxpayers recently paid for a special report to be mailed out in Minnesota’s Congressional District 2 (please see the image to the left, which is of Kline’s report).
The report comes from Congressman John Kline, and says he is “Protecting Minnesota’s Economy and Jobs”.
In our district people are struggling with health care issues and job [...]
Margaret Anderson Kelliher is the type of person who looks you right in the eye. In our talks (of which I have had three) she watched me look down at the floor, waited until I looked up, and then resumed speaking. She’s got high standards, even for those she’s listening to.
Margaret likes to remind you [...]
Parry’s in. Here’s the morning after Strib article.
The DFL lost a tough one last night. Mike Parry will slide into Day’s (still warm) seat at the Capitol, bringing a hotheaded and unpredictable personality to the room. People in Owatonna apparently love that type of personality. Waseca isn’t so sure, and perhaps sick of party bickering.
Day [...]
Our MN 2010 DFL candidates are super people with winning smiles, love in their hearts, and good plans to help Minnesota’s hard working families. For various reasons I think some of them have more “winning” qualities than others, but I would not mind it a bit if the rest surprised me or gave me reason [...]
I can’t see what happens at www.dflers.org, which possibly makes it appear there is a hidden agenda and therefore further obscures the DFL message. At least that is how it appears to me, and I represent any online surfer who is looking for DFL leadership and doesn’t have a password.
The public wants to know what [...]
Look out rad right, we Minnesotan moderate to liberal bloggers/ activists recently met to strategize and organize at the recent Netroots Minnesota convention. I put names to faces and found friends who have similar goals, which are 1. To help elect Democratic/ Progressive candidates, and 2. To better share information with our audience.
Here’s Netroots [...]
